Doloc town seasons now use four 1.0 names: Light Rain, Heavy Rain, Early Dry, and Harsh Dry. The patch notes replaced Month 1 through Month 4 and gave regions distinct weather tendencies. The Wetlands stay rainy all year, while the Old City stays dry, so location also matters. Use the live calendar, forecast, and seed details for daily planting decisions.

The four season names in version 1.0

Light Rain Season replaces Month 1, and Heavy Rain Season replaces Month 2. Early Dry Season replaces Month 3, while Harsh Dry Season replaces Month 4. These are direct mappings from the release notes, so players can translate an older guide's numbered month without treating the old label as a separate season.

The rename is important for search and guide accuracy because older screenshots and community tables may still show numbered months. A table created before August 2026 can contain useful observations, but its terminology alone does not prove that its probabilities, crop rules, or balance values survived the full release. Check the current in-game season label before applying an old schedule.

Light Rain Season

Light Rain Season is the 1.0 name for the first phase of the cycle. Its name indicates the rainy side of the calendar, but the official notes do not publish a day-by-day forecast or an exact percentage for each weather condition. It should therefore be described by its verified identity, not by invented claims about guaranteed rain or crop bonuses.

Use the current seed information and forecast tools available in the game when planting. Keep protection ready because the official store identifies acid rain as a hazardous condition, and a rainy season name does not mean every rainfall is harmless. Reserve important seeds until their season and protection requirements are visible.

Heavy Rain Season

Heavy Rain Season is the new name for Month 2. The patch notes say weather probabilities were adjusted to reflect seasonal characteristics, which supports expecting a different pattern from the lighter rainy phase without supplying exact odds. It does not establish that ordinary rain, acid rain, or every other condition occurs on a fixed schedule.

Farm planning in this phase should preserve access to crops and structures after bad weather. Do not expand every planting container merely because water may be more common, since protection, repair, harvesting, and storage remain part of the workload. Check current crop and equipment text before relying on a season-specific effect.

Early Dry Season

Early Dry Season replaces Month 3 in version 1.0. It begins the dry half of the named cycle, but the official summary does not list exact temperature, watering, growth, or power modifiers. The name is reliable, while a detailed numerical farming rule requires current in-game evidence.

This is a sensible point to review water coverage and the condition of weather protection before the harsher dry phase, but that is planning advice rather than a hidden formula. Check the crop tooltip, forecast, and equipment descriptions in the current build instead of importing an Early Access assumption. Expand the planting area only after water coverage and available labor are clear.

Harsh Dry Season

Harsh Dry Season is the release-build name for Month 4. The official store confirms scorching heatwaves as one of the wasteland dangers that can threaten crops, yet it does not say that a heatwave happens on every day of this season. The 1.0 notes only establish that weather probabilities now better match each season's character.

Prepare the farm for severe conditions before committing scarce seeds or quest crops. Keep enough labor and materials available to respond to visible damage or maintenance needs, and verify that any protective device actually covers the intended containers. Test coverage with ordinary crops before trusting it with rare stock.

Regional weather changes the calendar

Version 1.0 adds distinct regional tendencies rather than applying one uniform forecast everywhere. The Wetlands remain in the rainy season across the year, while the Old City remains in the dry season. That verified contrast matters when a quest, resource trip, wild Farming Plot, or crop plan takes the player away from the home farm.

A regional tendency is not proof that every day has identical weather. It also does not confirm that every crop follows the same regional rule, because the patch notes do not include a crop-by-region table. Treat the region and the four-season calendar as separate pieces of information, then check the conditions displayed at the actual location.

Acid rain and crop risk

Acid rain is explicitly presented by the official store as a deadly environmental hazard. Complete-release coverage says changing weather, including acid rain, can spell trouble for crops and structures, reinforcing that it affects farm management. Neither source provides the exact damage formula or a complete list of vulnerable objects.

The Doloc Town crops guide explains how to reserve important harvests and avoid relying on an unverified calendar. When acid rain is possible, use only protection that your current equipment description confirms and avoid assuming a visual roof or nearby machine provides coverage. Keep access paths open so affected crops and structures can be reached quickly.

Heatwaves and dry-weather planning

Heatwaves are the other extreme condition named by the official store. They support the post-apocalyptic farming premise and create a reason to protect crops rather than treating weather as decoration. Official information does not provide exact temperature readings, crop penalties, or a guaranteed link to one season.

Dry-weather planning should focus on confirmed needs: access to water, maintained structures, and enough time to care for the planted area. Advanced technology may reduce repeated work, but no official summary says it cancels every weather hazard. Review the Doloc Town farming automation guide before designing a farm that depends on late-game equipment.

Genes and weather adaptation

Official Harvest Fusion material connects crop gene modification with changing plant traits in the wasteland. Discovering, duplicating, and synthesizing genes allows modules to be applied to seeds, with as many as three modules on one seed. That system creates a verified path for tailoring crops, although the developer overview does not list every weather-related module or numerical effect.

The Doloc Town gene modification guide covers the confirmed workflow and its limits. Do not assume that three modules guarantee immunity, that every crop accepts the same build, or that an Early Access example is still optimal after weather rebalancing. Use the current module preview and test a low-risk seed before expanding the build.

A practical season-change checklist

At the start of a new named season, inspect current seed descriptions, active requests, the forecast, and the region where the work will occur. Reserve valuable quest or research crops, confirm protective coverage, and keep room to reach containers manually if equipment fails. This checklist follows verified systems without claiming hidden bonuses or fixed daily weather.

Before the next transition, finish only those objectives that the game itself marks as timed. Store or process harvests according to visible needs, and recheck any old guide that still uses numbered months. Build the schedule from the installed calendar instead of assigning dates or probabilities from an older version.

What remains unconfirmed

Official sources do not provide the exact number of days in each season, every daily weather probability, a complete festival calendar, or a release-build crop matrix. They also do not confirm the numerical effect of rain, acid rain, heatwaves, or regional tendencies on every crop and machine. Those values should come from the current game or a version-labeled reference before being published.

The official Steam store verifies the severe-weather premise, and the official Steam announcements supply the 1.0 season names and regional behavior. Unverified community season material may help locate player observations, but it does not replace the release notes. This guide was checked on August 7, 2026 and will need revision when a complete current calendar is documented.
